In the course of modernizing several dozens of testing systems, Sartorom has gained extensive experience in modernization of ZwickRoell or Toni Technik testing machines, but also of other brands. Testing systems from different manufacturers can be transformed into state-of-the-art equipment using modern ZwickRoell measurement and control electronics, drive technology, and testing software. Tried and tested components from new machines are used to update testing systems to the latest technology. Schedule an assesment meeting with our experienced service engineer and turn your old machine into a modern one!
Sartorom can modernize nearly any tensile and compression testing machine, all machines produced by the ZwickRoell group, and many models from other manufacturers. If the frame (chassis, guiding columns), crossbeam, and machine beds are in good condition, we recommend replacing the control electronics together with the computer and evaluation software, as well as the transmission (electric motor/hydraulic unit, gears, transmission belts, etc.). We offer a free assessment of your machine and tailor the modernization proposal based on the machine's condition.
For ZwickRoell machines with the testControl controller, for example, in certain cases, an upgrade to the latest testControl II version might suffice, with the software receiving a free update to the latest testXpert III version.
Why opt for modernization? You have several advantages:
- Reduce the investment cost; you don't need a large budget for modernizing an old machine.
- You can even use the repair budget for this modernization.
- Eliminate the need to scrap the machine, along with associated costs and the logistical effort of disposing of a large-tonnage machine.
- Upgrade old equipment to perform like new and extend its usability by another 20 years.
When should you consider modernizing your testing machines?
- The testing software is outdated.
- The operating system is no longer supported.
- The electronic part no longer has support.
- Changing testing requirements or applications. Improving workplace safety standards.
- A lower cost compared to purchasing a new machine.
- By replacing all worn-out parts, the machine will be fully functional.
- Reuse of expensive components, such as extensometers and grips.
- Conversion and calibration of existing load cells.
- Extended warranty for modernization.
- Allows calibration according to the latest quality standards.
- Delivery and reinstallation can be accompanied, upon request, by calibration according to ISO and/or ASTM.
By upgrading to modern technology, you achieve:
- Restoring spare parts availability.
- Renewed long-term service and technical support.
- Maintaining compatibility with current Windows operating systems.
- Equipping the testing equipment with parts and accessories from the current range, ensuring its future usability.
