Concepts and Modernization Packages for Hardness Testers
The most important requirements that the modernization of a hardness tester or testing machine must meet are the acquisition and electronic processing of measurement data, their logging, as well as the integration of instruments into the quality assurance system network. We provide solutions from simple sets to individually tailored modernization concepts.
Sartorom, in collaboration with its partner Latzke Härteprüfung from the ZwickRoell group, can modernize old hardness testers of any model. This involves changing the indenter, installing a video camera, and the testXpert III evaluation software.
Capital Repairs for Hardness Testers
For older analog hardness testers, we offer a capital repair service, which includes:
Complete disassembly and cleaning of all components. Adjustment of weights. Checking and, if necessary, replacement of all bearings. Replacing the membrane and damping oil. Replacement of the screen and Fresnel lens. Possible replacement of the light source if needed. On request, lacquering the casing. On request, ISO 17025 - DKD calibration. Upon request and at an additional cost, we can provide a substitute hardness tester during the repair period.
Modernization
To achieve more accurate and efficient measurements, we offer the modernization of the optics, electronics, and software of your Vickers, Brinell, or Rockwell type hardness tester.
Examples: Modernization of Vickers hardness tester with a video camera and PRECIDUR® software
Advantages:
Accurate measurements according to the Vickers standard. Automated measurements or manual evaluations on the monitor. With the help of the digital micrometer screw and the measurement table, the hardness testing process becomes rapid, simple, and precise.
Examples of Vickers hardness tester models that can be modernized:
You can get much more from your old classic universal hardness tester following the modernization at our facility in Wiehl, with the testXpert III software package. After our intervention, you will receive back a machine as good as new and in perfect working condition, which you will use with great pleasure.
The main advantages of modernizing with us are:
Lower cost compared to purchasing a new machine. By replacing all worn-out parts, the machine will be fully functional. No need for staff retraining as the machine remains familiar. Extended warranty for modernization. Delivery and reinstallation can be accompanied, upon request, by calibration according to ISO and/or ASTM.
