Shore Hardness Tester - SA6510
Shore hardness testers are most commonly used to measure hardness of materials such as rubber, plastic, sponges and related. The main area of use is basic productive sector and all maintenance requirements and quality control involving plastic materials and their derivatives.
The type of check is a non-destructive test, on inspected materials remain only a small print called “Witness”.
The compact size and the ergonomic design guarantee portability and possibility to make measurements even under less comfortable situations for the operator,both inlaboratoryboth on the field.
Measurement Scales:
Each Durometer Shore series SA6510 refers to a Shore scale (A,D) and can showvalues between 0 and 100.
Shore A: Used to measure the hardness for softer materials such as: rubber, elastomers, and otherrubbery materials like neoprene, silicone and vinyl. It can also be used for: soft plastic, felt, leather and similar materials.
Shore D: Used to measure harder material compared to the A scale such as plastics, formica, epoxides and plexiglass.
