Application
The ultrasonic test systems ToniSONIC IP-8 (8 channels)
and ToniSONIC BP-7 (1 channel) are specifically
designed for the non-destructive measurement of setting
processes. The control of the test system, the registration,
indication and storage of the measurement values
is done by the PC software UltraTestLab.
The test system is specifically qualified in the prduction,
research and science for the measurement of the
following building materials:
• all cement pastes and mortar systems
• building chemical products, additives
• concretes and refractories
• gypsum products
• tile adhesives
• plaster and insolation materials
• leveling compounds

Design / Operating Principle
The system consists of 1-8 measuring units ToniSONIC
BP-7 with ultrasonic probes and temperature sensors
that are connected to the 8-channel measuring system
ToniSONIC IP-8.
The evaluation and control is done with the PC
software UltraTestLab. The PC is connected to the test
system ToniSONIC IP-8 by an USB cable.

The software UltraTestLab with individual control
concept and intuitive user interface allows a versatile
interpretation and evaluation of the measurement
signals:
• measuring period: 15 minutes – 31 days,
measuring interval: 10 seconds – 60 minutes
(freely selectable)
• simultanious indication during the measurement of:
– ultrasonic velocity in m/s or runtime in μs
– derivation (acceleration) and curvature
– temperature inside the specimen
– shrinkage / bulking by the adaption of shrinkage
channels (optinal)
• various zoom and scaling features also during the tests
• reference measurements: online comparison of
running measurements
• envelope curves: definition of acceptable deviations
from reference measurements
• detection of initial set and final set with grafic marks
• Evaluation, Excel-export and printing during the
running measurements
• automatic logging of all measurements to log file
• log file browser with sort function (e.g. date, product,
filename, user)
• additional storage to .XLS function
• calculation of dynamic mudulus of elasticity
